The last leg of our trip was spent in California reconnecting friends, family, and sunshine!
It never seems long enough, these little slices of time we get with people so dear to us. #timeandproximity is a gift!

Our hearts are grateful as we head home to Ireland. The Lord is with us, and He has good in store!

Ten images doesn't come anywhere close to showing the week we had with family and the Church in Colorado and sharing updates and reconnecting!

We always get to this part of the trip and my heart feels both full and broken, but the Lord reminds me He has good in store for our family. He is good and He is worthy, even when we feel the cost of following Him the most. If you think of it, please pray for our boys, living with their hearts in two places.

So grateful for all the moments with people we love so much!! 💕

It feels like a constant "Hello! - "Goodbye!" situation when we come home for a visit, but these snapshots are reminders that the Lord has given us people who love us richly, even from afar! So many selfies we didn't grab as well!

Bittersweet is a pretty accurate word to describe these trips, but we'll take every minute and choose thankfulness!! God is generous, and one day "Goodbye" won't be needed. Until next time 💕

Time at home is always this strange mix of slowing down to soak it all in and doing all the things in the few short days you have together. It's being so happy you finally get to be with your people, and trying not to be sad because the hourglass is running out.

So, as we have told our boys countless times over the past seven years - be where you are right now. Don't get sad before you have to. Make all the memories to take back with you.

Camping (glamping really 😁), cooking Filipino food in the outdoors, driving into the clouds at the summit of Pikes Peak - I'm so thankful for #timeandproximity with these precious people I get to call Mine.

A whirlwind of #timeandproximity
And so much food!!

When we first started planning this trip, we realised there would be a small (3 day!) window when all of my direct family on my mom's side could be in the same place at the same time - something that hasn't happened in more than a decade!

So thankful for these full days going with the flow, catching up, eating the best food, and taking our people in. Living away from family makes these slices of time all the more precious! Only the Lord knows if a reunion like this will happen again this side of heaven. What a gift!

F L Y

We fly back to the States today, for a few weeks of seeing our families, eating food that we miss, reconnecting with friends, and sharing what the Lord has been doing here in Ireland!

The past year and a half has held so much - goodness and heartache, vision and newness, transition and pain and always the steadfast faithfulness of the Lord - His presence and joy in the midst!

Going back to our first home, to people who will always be ours (and to good Mexican and Asian food 🌯🍜😋) - we're looking forward to rest and refreshing, and also a stirring up of the Church - God is still doing real things in this world, and we get to be a part of it!

We're hosting an update night at Calvary Church in Aurora on Friday, September 15th, from 7pm-8:30pm. We'd love to see you there! If you need any more info, comment below or send a message.

And I'm grateful on a level I almost can't articulate - for my family, for dear friends, for this adventure life we get to live day by day following the Lord, and for Jesus. What a sweet and extraordinary privilege it is to be His, and to have Him as my own!

He thought his dad might be gracious enough to take him back as a hired hand, but this son didn't realise - he was long forgiven, awaited, and treasured - even as a prodigal!

Intentional, carved out, well protected. One day out of the week where all the things get pushed to the periphery. Making room, for rest and for #timeandproximity.

Rest is a gift from the One who does not slumber. He's holding all things together, including us, so we don't have to.

It's a call to be present, and to lean in. I'm so aware in this season of parenting - babies don't keep 💕 these are sacred days.

Hey guys, you still out there? My posts have been sporadic as of late, and to be honest, for a while I felt like my voice had been lost somewhat in this season.

But I'm realising that maybe that's how seasons are. Some are bright and bursting with song and growth and colour! Others feel colder and hushed, even harsh. But all the while, there is living. And there is purpose.

Some things have been lost, but new things, that perhaps would not have otherwise come to be, are beginning to grow. Our eyes and hands are opening, and He's been so patient, so present, as always.

I'm deeply grateful for so much in this time. Chiefly for Jesus, again.

Exhausted from camp, I was doubting my decision to have them trying to ride waves for two hours, but they did amazing! Both really started to get it figured out and had a blast!
