So we finished up the alphabet in homeschooling a couple of weeks ago (we were doing one a week)! I still wanted to share some of the cool stuff we did 🙂 For the letter “Tt” we memorized Proverbs 3:5 which says, “Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding.” Now there’s a verse the Lord has been using in my life lately!
We also made a tower using marshmallows and toothpicks! The boys love building (and eating marshmallows 🙂 so they were really excited about this activity! If you’d like to build a marshmallow tower, you’ll need large and small marshmallows, toothpicks, and something hard and flat (like a baking sheet or piece of hardboard) to build on.
The idea was pretty simple – connect the marshmallows with toothpicks to build a tower 🙂 We started with large marshmallows on the bottom and used the little ones for the upper half. I will say that the little marshmallows made the tower unstable, so if we ever make another tower, we’ll probably just use big ones.
So there you have it – marshmallows, a tower (sort of 🙂 and two happy boys! I do love being home with these two 🙂
